5.1. Methodological overview

The learning process  designed for this subject is based on the following:

- The learning process is based essentially on conducting a seminar in each theme. Previously, the professor provides students the texts that are the basis of the analysis and the debate that will take place. Then, each student gives in writing to the professor his/her ownargued contribution to the corresponding topic.

- Likewise, the learning includes (since this is a subject of the last courses of the Degree of Philosophy) the  appropriate techniques, methodology, etc. to developa written  monographic work

5.2. Learning tasks

The program offered to students to assist them in achieving the expected results includes the following activities:

1.  Attendance classes structured in the form of seminars.

2.  Oral presentations and discussion, individual and in team

3.  Directed monographic papers

4.  Personalized Tutorials

Theme 3.- Bioethics in Feminist key.

Theme 4.- Eugenics: a multidisciplinary debate.

Theme 5.- Bioethics of the body and the sexuality.

Theme 6.- Biotechnologies and posthumanism.

The selection of these themesconstitutes an open program; therefore, some of them can be replaced by another agreed upon by the students with the consent of the professor. A deadline will be open in the presentation of the course to submit proposals.

5.4. Course planning and calendar

Schedule of attendance sessions and presentation of papers

- The classes will take place attending to the schedule prefixed  by the Secretariat of  the Faculty. In accordance with this schedule, the professor will give students at the beginning of the course a schedule of  themes.

- The thematic and critical analysis is to be delivered a week after its debate

- At the end of October each student will have chosen the theme of his/her monographic work and will have the necessary Bibliographic references to elaborate it.

- The deadline to hand in this work is one week prior to the exam day set out in the schedule the Secretariat will facilitate.
